Delay in Pay or Play

Today, the administration announced a one-year delay in the Affordable Care Act’s requirement that businesses with 50 or more employees offer coverage to their workers or pay a penalty. 

 

The employer penalty known as the “Play or Pay” provision of the law will not go into effect until 2015.  This means that large employers will not be subject to a potential penalty until 2015.
